A woman told police that she was robbed Monday while picking up an item she saw on Craigslist.

Yenny Garcia said that she and her boyfriend arrived at the Arby’s on Jake Alexander Boulevard at around 6 p.m. to pick up a Playstation 3 they found on Craigslist for $60. According to the report, the seller, a Russell Dylan Musgrove, 29, pulled up in his car and asked Garcia if she had the money. Garcia walked over, cash in hand, and told police that Musgrove handed her a plastic bag from Walmart. She said that the bag contained cans of tuna and other items.

Musgrove reached out and snatched the money from Garcia’s hand, the police report said. When she asked for it back, she told police, Musgrove said it was payment for looking in the bag. According to the report, Garcia threw the bag back into the car and pulled out her phone. She was able to take a photo of Musgrove as he drove away while her boyfriend took down the tag number.

With the photo, tag number, vehicle description and details that Garcia remembered from phone conversations prior to the sale, police identified the man as Musgrove, who lives in Kannapolis. Musgrove was arrested, charged with common law robbery and taken to the Cabarrus County jail. Musgrove had an outstanding warrant in Cabarrus County for heroin possession.

He is currently under a total secured bond of $40,000.

He was previously charged in Rowan County with larceny and in Cabarrus County with breaking and entering.
