Pfeiffer men’s basketball coach Jeremy Currier announced the addition of Jason Causby as an assistant coach on Wednesday.
“We are excited Jason will be joining our coaching staff,” Currier said. “He has a wealth of experience as a head coach and will be a valuable asset to our program. In addition to what he brings as a coach, Jason walks in the door with strong relationships in the state of North Carolina that will help us continue to recruit top talent in-state.”
Causby coached 10 seasons at Salisbury High (2004-05 to 2014-15).
His record was 157-111 and included three CCC regular-season titles, five CCC tournament championships and three Sam Moir Christmas Classic crowns.
In 2008-09, Causby coached the Hornets to a 28-2 mark and tied the school record for fewest losses in a season.
Causby is a graduate of West Rowan and Catawba and is now a special education teacher at East Rowan.
He and his wife, Becky, have three children — daughter Jaysa (12) and sons Grey (9) and Griggs (6).
