Blotter: Cellphones, cash stolen in overnight break-in from Cricket Wireless

Police say they are looking into an overnight break-in at Cricket Wireless after someone broke a glass door at the Freeland Drive business and walked away with cash and 10 cellphones.

Salisbury Police Capt. Shelia Lingle said store personnel reported the store was last known to be secured Sunday around 6 p.m. and was found Monday around 9:43 a.m.

A front glass door was broken and according to store personnel, 10 phones valued at $369.93 and $372 in cash in a safe were all stolen. No arrest has been made.

• A man reported on Monday a semi-automatic handgun was stolen from his unlocked pickup parked in the 200 block of West Corriher Avenue.

• A man reported on Monday items were stolen from his rental vehicle parked in the 700 block of East Franklin Street.

In sheriff’s reports:

• A man reported on Friday someone took items from his property in the 400 block of Safrit Road.

• A woman reported on Friday her car was damaged while parked in her driveway in the 200 block of Oak Avenue, China Grove.

• A man reported on Saturday he was the victim of a domestic assault in the 6000 block of U.S. 601.

• Romelio Raul Toledo, 32, was charged on Friday with misdemeanor assault on a female in the 800 block of East Ridge Road.

• Ronald Wayne McCorrister, 26, was charged on Friday with felony breaking and entering vehicles in the 1700 block of Goodnight Road.

• John Darryl Hampton, 45, was charged on Friday with felony fugitive from justice in the 7000 block of Old Concord Road.

• Angela Denise Honeycutt, 43, was charged on Friday with felony breaking and entering a vehicle in the 300 block of Goodman Drive.

• Kristian Baxin Velasco, 25, was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 400 block of Laurel Pointe Circle.

• Kent Wayne Sigmon, 57, was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor assault on a female in the 6000 block of U.S. 601 North.

• Kimberly Foster Kent, 54, was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 6000 block of U.S. 601 North.
