Police say a Salisbury man is in stable condition Monday following a weekend shooting on Mahaley Avenue.

Salisbury Police Capt. Shelia Lingle said Dashon Kyle Johnson, 35, was shot multiple times in a Food Lion parking lot after exiting a “party” bus that was returning from another location.

The incident occurred at 3 a.m. when a white car coming from Food Lion made a U-turn and began shooting, Lingle said.

Johnson was struck in several places including the head and wrist. He was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center where he was initially in critical condition. He was later transferred to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where he remains in stable condition.

Police say they have a possible suspect. No arrest has been made.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
