Planning Board meeting canceled

For the second time this month, a regularly scheduled meeting of the Salisbury Planning Board had to be canceled due to the lack of a quorum.

Tuesday’s meeting was canceled because only six members of the 12-member board were present for the 4 p.m. meeting at City Hall. A meeting needs seven members present for there to be a quorum. The board does have all 12 seats filled, but several people were unable to make it Tuesday due to obligations with work or because they were out of town.

The board’s May 12 meeting was canceled in advance after city staff found out there wouldn’t be enough members present.

Planning Board Chairman Carl Repsher said Tuesday he plans to talk with some of the members who are consistently missing meetings.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for June 9.
