Yesterday: World War I recruits gather in Salisbury

The Rowan Museum recently received on loan a photograph showing World War I recruits from Rowan County gathered on the steps of the federal building (today’s Rowan County Administration Building)) at 130 W. Innes St. An exact date is not given. The photograph is part of the yearlong award-winning exhibit: “Over There, Over Here: Rowan Remembers World War I,”  which will close on May 10.
