First Baptist Church in China Grove will host the Fifth Annual Meal of Hope at the church from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day. Meals will be served at the church during that time and will also be delivered. There is no charge for the meal, which will consist of ham, green beans, macaroni and cheese, corn and candied yams. Church members will provide a variety of desserts as well.

The Meal of Hope is open to anyone who wants the meal for whatever reason, and all are welcome. Church members will be showing a video of the “Christmas Story.” Since the interest for this outreach program has been increasing over the years, 600 meals will be prepared on Christmas Day. Food Lion and IFH are the principal food sponsors for the Meal of Hope.

Transportation will be provided for anyone who wants to eat at the Family Life Center at the church. Transportation, and delivery at no charge can be arranged by calling the church at 704-857-5415. If no answer, leave a message and someone will return your call. First Baptist Church is located at 302 Patterson Street in China Grove.
