Rowan weather: Don’t rain on my parade

One thing we can count on is the weather will always change.

It doesn’t look very nice for the Holiday Caravan on Wednesday, but, that may change, too.

For today, we’re starting at a warm and damp 57 degrees, with a high expected near 63. There’s a 20 percent chance of rain, especially after 4 p.m. We have a 100 percent chance of rain tonight, mainly after midnight, with a low of 39, so it will be a cold rain.

Wednesday, we have another 100 percent chance of rain, but mainly before 3 p.m. If we get lucky, that rain might move out even faster and we can still hear the bands in the parade. The high should be 46.

There’s a 20 percent chance of showers Wednesday night and early Thanksgiving day. The low will be 35 degrees.

As you sit down to your Thanksgiving feast, we should have mostly sunny skies and a high near 50. A west northwest wind will blow at 5-10 mph. Thursday night, we dip below freezing again, to 28 degrees.

Friday, if you’re one of those diehard shoppers, it will be sunny and near 48. Some of the rest of us will be snoozing under a blanket. Friday night will be cold again, 28 degrees.

Saturday will warm a bit to 55, with mostly sunny skies, and Saturday night’s low will be around 34.

A sunny Sunday will be warmer yet, with a high near 62. The low will be around 39.

Monday will be mostly sunny and nice again, with a high of 61.
