SALISBURY — One woman is injured after her vehicle flipped over in a hit-and-run crash today.
Officers with the Salisbury Police Department said a white Jeep Cherokee was going east on West Henderson Street and ran the stop sign at North Lee Street.
It struck the side of a beige small SUV headed south on North Lee Street around 12:15 p.m. today. Police said that according to witnesses, the Jeep Cherokee kept driving toward Railroad Street on East Henderson Street.
The SUV spun around, overturned and came to rest on its roof just south of the intersection.
Emergency workers rescued the driver, Rosalind Lawing, from the vehicle.
Her brother, Eric Smith, had been riding in the front passenger’s seat and was able to get out of the car.
Smith said Lawing doesn’t seem to be badly hurt, but she is being examined for internal injuries.
