New opportunities

SALISBURY POST


 

The Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers (of which I am a member) states, among its many professional exhortations, that the “social worker should act to expand choice and opportunity for all persons, with special regard for disadvantaged or oppressed groups or persons.”

Kudos to the Rowan County Department of Social Services for helping to ensure such choice and access for Spanish speakers via its hiring of translator Zully Hardaway.
