Letter to the Editor

Two thumbs up

SALISBURY POST

Care to see an excellent movie? If so, “John Q.” is the movie to see. If you’re like me and you enjoy action-packed, edge-of-your-seat movies, you’ll love “John Q.” It’s the best drama I’ve seen in two decades.

Denzel Washington and Kimberly Elise both do Oscar-winning performances in their portrayal of two parents who display unconditional love for their son, who’s in need of an expensive surgery. Throughout the movie, the audience would applaud as though it were a live performance.

During its premiere at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles, Washington mentioned that his role in “John Q.” made him aware of how many people don’t have adequate health insurance.

I give “John Q.” two thumbs up, but don’t take anyone’s word for it. Check it out for yourself. This one’s bound to keep you glued to your seat.
