LANDIS — South Rowan improved to 3-2 on the baseball season with a 12-6 home win over Salisbury on Monday.
Matt Biles hit his first career homer for the Raiders, while Justin Pinyan had two hits and Keith Clark had two RBIs.
Tommy Ludwig and Jack Campbell had two hits each to lead the Hornets, who fell to
0-6.
Mike Davis (1-2) picked up the win for the Raiders with five strong innings, while Allen Bryant earned the save.
Salisbury trailed only 8-6 and had two on in the sixth before Bryant shut the door.

KANNAPOLIS — A.L. Brown dropped a 6-5 baseball decision to East Mecklenburg on Monday.
The Wonders (1-3) battled back from an early 5-1 deficit to tie the game at 5-all, but let it slip away in the seventh.
Daniel Smith had two hits, including a triple for the Wonders. John Graham and Brett Bartles had doubles.
Hard-luck loser Zach Ward pitched brilliantly after entering the game in the third inning in relief of Ryan Petty.
