West Rowan’s boys basketball team will play its 3A state championship game at 9 p.m. in the Dean E. Smith Center on Saturday.
The Falcons (29-0) will face the Winston-Salem Parkland Mustangs (21-9), the same team that beat them in the finals in 1999.
Parkland knocked off Greensboro Dudley 71-68 on a buzzer-beater Saturday night, despite 40 points and eight blocks by Dudley’s Eric “Helicopter” Hicks.

Ledford (31-0) rolled over Bunker Hill 58-37 behind Leslie Hinkle’s 30 points to win the 2A regional. Ledford plays Tarboro (24-4) at 7 p.m. on Friday.
High Point Central (30-1) won the 3A girls West regional 80-67 over Parkwood, as freshman Teshymia Tillman scored 32 points. The Bison play Rockingham County (29-2) on Saturday at 7 p.m.
