Letter to the Editor

Think before voting

SALISBURY POST

On March 5 when you leave to go to the polls to vote, think about what you are about to do. I say that to get to the point. Don’t make Kannapolis any more hypocritical than it already is at the present. If you proceed to the polls and vote against the issues, I will also say, don’t leave there and go to Concord or Salisbury and eat where mixed drinks are served, because you are supporting exactly what you just voted against.

I would also like to add that if you shop at Food Lion, Winn-Dixie or BiLo, you are supporting alcohol because they sell alcohol where it is legal. Oh, and be careful where you buy gas for your car. A lot of station owners also own stations in Rowan where beer is sold. Scary, isn’t it?

To the folks who believe Kannapolis streets will be littered with all the drunken drivers, I can promise you they are here now, today and tonight. They have just spent their money in Salisbury or Concord. If you go to a restaurant that serves alcohol, it is your choice to indulge in it. No one will pour it down your throat, only you. Enjoy your dinner and have a good evening.
