Clarcy Barnhardt
CHINA GROVE — Clarcy Corriher Barnhardt, 81, 2190 Cannon Farm Road, died Monday (Feb. 25, 2002) at Big Elm Nursing Center after three years of declining health and seven months of serious illness.
Born Nov. 25, 1920, in Iredell County, Mrs. Barnhardt, a daughter of the late H.Y. and Ella Allison Corriher, was a practical nurse. She was a member of Mount Moriah Lutheran Church.
Survivors include daughter Judy B. Little, China Grove; sisters Evelyn Holt, Mooresville, and Willie Beatty, Sherrills Ford; brothers Alex Corriher, Mount Ulla, and Jack Corriher, Mocksville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Mount Moriah Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Charles MacMurphy. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 6-8 tonight, Lady’s Funeral Home, Kannapolis. At other times the family will be at the home on Cannon Farm Road.

Maggie B. Holshouser
ROCKWELL — The funeral will be Wednesday for Maggie Brady Holshouser, 92, Rockwell, who died Sunday (Feb. 24, 2002) at Autumn Care of Salisbury.
Born Dec. 30, 1909, in Rowan County, Mrs. Holshouser, a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Paulina Linn Brady, was a 1928 graduate of Rockwell High School.
Formerly employed at Carolina Maid, she retired from Cannon Mills. She was a member of Grace Lowerstone United Church of Christ and the Women’s Group.
Her husband, Glenn Plato Holshouser, died Nov. 3, 1993.
Survivors include son Glenn J. Holshouser, Albemarle; daughter Sylvia H. Alexander, Faith; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Grace Lowerstone United Church of Christ, conducted by the Rev. Kevin Gilliam. Burial, church cemetery.

Cecil O. Redwine
CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Cecil O. Redwine, 76, Chula Vista, a native of Faith, N.C., died Sunday (Feb. 17, 2002) at his home.
Mr. Redwine was born Nov. 17, 1925. A veteran of World War II, he retired from the U.S. Army after 35 years. He was a master chief petty officer and senior chief hull maintenance technician.
Survivors include son Robert Townsend, San Bernadino; sister Dorothy Hirschfeld, Salisbury, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held earlier today at Glen Abbey Chapel of the Roses in Bonita.
Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, Bonita, handled arrangements.

Dave Henderson Stirrat, 78, 635 Statesville Blvd., died Saturday (Feb. 23, 2002) at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation.
Born Jan. 24, 1924, in Gebo, Wyo., Mr. Stirrat was a son of the late David and Janet Jeffries Stirrat. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
