LEXINGTON — Steve Delano Abrams, 44, of Rockcrusher Road, died Friday (Feb. 1, 2002) at his residence after a 15-month illness.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, conducted by the Rev. John Holsenback. Burial will be at the Lexington City Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home. Other times, the family will be at the home.
Weldon L. Daniel
GREENVILLE — Weldon Lamar “Dan”Daniel, 73, of Greenville, died Friday (Feb. 1, 2002), at Greenville Memorial Hospital after a short period of declining health.
Born Dec. 9, 1928, in Salisbury, Mr. Daniel was a son of the late Eddie Montgomery and Edna Bernice Jones Daniel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force, specializing in air traffic control. He retired in 1973 from Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Texas as a member of the Inspector General’s auditing team.
Survivors include wife Jacquelin Bell Daniel; daughters Lynn Daniel Johnston, Austin, Texas, and Elizabeth Bell, Warsaw, Ind.; son Stuart Lamar Daniel, Greenville; sisters Ellen Daniel, Hendersonville, Bernice Jones Indictor, Hileah, Fla., and Mary Lee Boger, Titusville, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Services:3:30 today, Augusta Road Baptist Church. Cremation Society of South Carolina, Greenville, is in charge.

Joyce R. Dillard
LEXINGTON — Joyce Rollins Dillard, 67, of Maple Court, died Saturday (Feb. 2, 2002) at her residence after 11 years of declining health.
Services: A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Moore.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Davidson Funeral Home. Other times, the family will be at the home.

Junior Lee Goodman
CHINA GROVE — Junior Lee Goodman, 74, 1435 Saw Road, died Friday (Feb. 1, 2002), at home.
Born Aug. 27, 1927, in Cabarrus County, Mr. Goodman was a son of the late Gilbert Brantley and Bertie Ann Osborne Goodman. He was a steel worker for Eastern Stainless Steels. He was a member of Free Gospel Tabernacle.
Survivors include wife Virginia Elizabeth Gray Goodman, China Grove; son Larry Lee Goodman, China Grove; daughter Jackie Elaine Goodman Hedrick, Forest Hill, Md.; brothers Ray Goodman, James Goodman, Robert Goodman, Fred Goodman and Jerry Goodman, all of Concord; sisters Peggy Carpenter and Sarah Freeman, both of Concord; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Lillian Harper
Lillian Pauline Harper, 83, of 615 West Fisher St., Salisbury, and formerly of Cleveland, died Saturday (Feb. 2, 2002) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 20, 1918, in Statesville, she was the daughter of the late George Mack and Zelma Watson Harper. She was educated in the Cleveland Schools. She attended South River United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Services: A graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at South River United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Howard Wagoner, minister of Needmore Baptist. Burial at church cemetery.
Floyd Honeycutt
KANNAPOLIS — Floyd William Honeycutt, 85, of 501 Terrace Drive, died Friday (Feb. 1, 2002) at NorthEast Medical Center.
Born Sept. 16, 1916, in Stanly County, he was the son of the late Riley and Mamie Furr Honeycutt. He was educated in the Stanly County Schools.
He retired from Hilbish Ford in the maintenance department. He had earlier worked in cotton mills. He was of the Baptist faith and served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include wife, Margaret Jones Honeycutt, of the home; sons Cullen Wilbanks, Kannapolis, and Lynn Wilbanks, Wahalla, SC; daughters Edith Hoyt, Tammy Garmon, and Martha Haynes, all of China Grove, Brenda McEicheran and Peggy Long, both of Salisbury, Barbara Dean Honeycutt and Nita Wilbanks, both of Kannapolis, and Anna Jean Tucker, of Charlotte; brothers Clifford Honeycutt, Marvin Honeycutt, Hugh Honeycutt, H.H. Honeycutt, A.P. Honeycutt, John Honeycutt and Coy Honeycutt, all of Cabarrus County; sisters Letha Smith, Zula Helms and Lois Smith, all of Cabarrus County; 30 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, conducted by the Rev. Bruce Graham and the Rev. Marvin Honeycutt. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Arther Lee Jordan
KANNAPOLIS — Arther Lee Jordan, 88, of 718 Pleasant Ave., died Friday (Feb. 1, 2002) at Genesis Elder Care, Mooresville, after a five-month illness.
Born April 3, 1913, in Union County, he was the son of the late Oscar and Lucy Tadlock Jordan. He was educated in the Union County Schools.
He retired from Cannon Mills in 1979 as a cutter in the sheet department.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ailleen Sims Jordan on August 29, 1987, and his second wife, Evelyn Fielder Jordan, on October 18, 2001.
Survivors include his daughter Katie J. Robbins, Rockingham; brothers John Jordan, Simpsonville, Alvin Jordan, Matthews, and Dwight Jordan, Marshville; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services: 4 p.m. today at Bethel Baptist Church, Marshville, NC, conducted by the Rev. Randy Davis. The body will lie in state 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation: Visitation was Saturday night at Whitley’s Funeral Home.

Victoria E. Mace
Victoria “Vickie” Earnhardt Mace, 28, of Salisbury, died Thursday (Jan. 31, 2002), at Rowan Regional Medical Center after an auto accident.
Born April 26, 1973, in Rowan County, Mrs. Mace was the daughter of Ralph and Teresa Wagoner Earnhardt of Gold Hill. She graduated from East Rowan High School in 1991 and from Rowan Cabarrus Community College in 1993 with an associate’s degree in accounting. She worked for J.E. Fisher Insurance Co. for 14 years and was in the corporate and commercial accounts department. She was a member of Gold Hill Wesleyan Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for the high school class, a choir member, a nursery worker and a member of the Ladies Church Group.
Survivors in addition to her parents include husband Randy Lee Mace, whom she married March 12, 1994; son Dakota Lee Mace of the home; and brother Michael Earnhardt, Gold Hill.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Gold Hill Wesleyan Church, conducted by the Revs. Mark Loman, pastor, and Eddie McClure, former pastor. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 2-4 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Powles Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of her parents.

Phillip R. Rowland
Phillip Richard Rowland, 56, of Blacklick, Ohio, died Wednesday (Jan. 30, 2002), in Columbus, Ohio.
Born Nov. 14, 1945, in Trenton, Mich., Mr. Rowland was a son of the late Allen and Margaret Rowland. He was a 1964 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School, Wynadotte, Mich. He was a facility engineer at Lydall Thermal Acoustical Group, Columbus, Ohio. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served on the USS Intrepid.
Survivors include wife Connie Kluttz Rowland of the home; sons Allan Rowland, Minter, Ohio, Matthew Rowland, Detroit, Mich., and Shawn Yost, Salisbury; daughters Carrie Duncan, Lanton, Okla., and Paula Wilder, Salisbury; brother Thomas Rowland, Lancaster, Ohio; sister Barbara Bailey, Travelers City, Mich.; and seven grandchildren.
Services:2 p.m. Wednesday, Faith Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Gary Bodford, associate pastor. Burial, Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell. Military graveside rites will conducted by the Rowan County Veterans Council.
