Solace from afar

Editor’s note: Toni Loflin of Salisbury received the following letter from a cousin and his family in Brazil shortly after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks:

It was with great sadness that we watched on TV, live and in color, the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in the city of New York.

They are cowardly acts and of extreme injustice to the American people and a great country.

The United States of America has always been a great nation, and without a doubt, will become an even greater nation after this.

Our solidarity and our prayers are in harmony with you and with the American people.
