Kannapolis’ future

SALISBURY POST

The nightly newscasts from the Middle East are a constant reminder of the wonderful blessings of living in a democracy. Patriotism and gratitude run high for our young men and women who now endanger their lives so that we can continue to enjoy the privilege of living in a free country. The privilege of voting in a democracy is one we treasure but often fail to exercise. Let’s hope our patriotism will translate into record turnouts at the polls on Nov. 6.

This is a very critical election for the city of Kannapolis. For the future of our community, it is vital that we elect leaders who are capable of addressing our problems with positive and progressive solutions. Paul Bessent, Randy Cauthen, Darrell Hinnant and Ray Moss are even-tempered, thoughtful decision-makers who have a vision of a brighter future for Kannapolis, and the necessary skills to make it happen. I urge you to remember their names and vote for them on Nov. 6.
