The events of Sept. 11 opened Americans’ eyes to a lot of things, including the importance of recognizing those who help us.
The Salisbury Post wants to honor your Hometown Heroes in a special section that will be published on Thanksgiving Day. We need your help.
Bring attention to someone who has helped, inspired, encouraged or impressed you. Send us a brief letter explaining why this person is one of your Hometown Heroes. You can send us a photo, too.
Your hero could be a friend or relative, a public servant or a neighbor. Ordinary people often help each other in extraordinary ways.
We can’t promise to publish every letter, but we will try to print as many as possible.
Please limit submissions to 200 words or less and get them to us by 5 p.m. Nov. 7.
You can tell us about your hero any of four ways:
- E-mail us at heroes@salisburypost.com
.
- Fax : 704-639-0003.
- Mail:Hometown Heroes, Salisbury Post, P.O. Box 4639, Salisbury, N.C. 28144.
- Drop it by the Post at 131 W. Innes St. between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
