KANNAPOLIS — Grady Corriher, 84, 1012 Hoke St., died Monday (Oct. 1, 2001) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.

Calvin M. Daniels
Calvin Marshall Daniels, 66, Salisbury, died Sunday (Sept. 30, 2001) at Rowan Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born Feb. 8, 1935, in Davie County, Mr. Daniels, a son of the late Roy Washington and Georgia Peacock Daniels, was educated in the Mocksville schools and a graduate of Mocksville High School.
A Green Beret, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2000 from KoSa after 27 years.
He attended New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife Kathy Melton Daniels; sons Tony, Timothy and Phillip Daniels, all of Salisbury; daughter Marsha D. Gobble, Mocksville; stepson Kevin Lynn Kiker, Rockingham; and brothers Paul R. and R.W. Daniels, both of Salisbury, Duke Daniels, Cooleemee, and Lindy Daniels, South Fork, Colo.
Services: 1 today, Summersett Funeral Home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Terry Cruse, pastor, New Hope Baptist Church. Burial, National Cemetery, Statesville Blvd. Military rites by Rowan Veterans Council.
Visitation: 12-1 today at the funeral home.

Daniel S. Sechler
KANNAPOLIS — David Samuel Sechler, 73, 1308 Washington Lane, died Saturday (Sept. 29, 2001) at his home after several months of declining health.
Born Nov. 14, 1927, in Rowan County, Mr. Sechler was a son of the late W.L. and Mary Elizabeth Shinn Sechler. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a life member of VFWPost 8989.
He had been employed with Kluttz Construction Co., Charlotte, and for many years was a subcontractor. He was a member of Skyland Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel M. Sechler, and his second wife, Ola D. Sechler.
Survivors include wife Dot Chastain Sechler; stepdaughters Becky Wagoner, Landis, Judy Hardister, Brownsville, Tenn., and Virginia Watson, Salisbury; stepsons Roy Willard, Concord, and James and Raymond Frick, both of Kannapolis; and sister Betty Ritchie, Kannapolis.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Skyland Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. David Icenhour. Burial,Carolina Memorial Park. Military rites by DAVChapter 27.
Visitation: 6-8 tonight, Whitley’s Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home on Washington Lane.
