Vernice K. Johnson
A graveside service will be held Saturday for Vernice Katie Johnson, 81, 715 Hall St., Civic Apt. 68-U, who died Tuesday, (Nov. 27, 2001) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 22, 1920, in Cabarrus County, Ms. Johnson was a daughter of Emanuel and Lela Boyd Johnson. She was a graduate of the Cabarrus County Schools and was employed as a housekeeper in private homes. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include a niece, Sarah Oglesby, with whom she made her home.
Services: Graveside, 3 p.m. Saturday, Oakwood Cemetery, conducted by Elder Richard Johnson.
Visitation: None.
