I enjoyed the Nov. 27 article by Rose Post that featured James Agner and his World War II scrapbook.
My late husband and I have known Jim and Velma for many years. We were also career Navy, and were first stationed together way back in the mid-’50s, in Quanset Point R.I.
They (Jim and Velma) settled down in Salisbury after retiring from the service, and we came to Pensacola, Fla. We have visited back and forth a few times since, and in all of this time, he never mentioned his scrapbook. I wonder what other secrets he is keeping?
Maybe you need to sit him back down on that porch swing and do a little more interviewing.
