CLEVELAND — Nannie Mills Beaver, 74, Cleveland,
died Monday (May 28, 2001) at Genesis ElderCare, Mooresville, after a lengthy
illness.
Born June 3, 1926, in Rowan County, Mrs. Beaver
was a daughter of the late Lawrence Denver and Nannie Leab Mills. She was a
member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Robert Lee Beaver, died Sept. 18,
1982, and a son, Gary Denver Beaver, died Aug. 15, 1988.
Survivors include sons Milton and Phillip Robert
Beaver, both of Cleveland; sisters Lottie Owens, Salisbury, and Roberta
Blackwelder, Mooresville; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Born Feb. 15, 1920, in China Grove, Mrs. Cline
was a daughter of the late George Edward and Lillie Viola Eagle Jordan. She
attended Harris Chapel School, China Grove.
Retired from Cannon Mills plant 1 sewing
department, she attended North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church.
Her husband, J.D. Cline, died Aug. 10, 1972.

Born Nov. 7, 1926, in Rowan County, Miss Pope, a
daughter of the late Lonie Kenerly and Doll Dixon Pope, was educated in the
Woodleaf schools. She was a member of Woodleaf United Methodist Church.
A piano player, she played at several churches.
She spent most of her adult life in the care of Jim and Jean Earnhardt.

was daughter of the late Leander William and Verdie Blanchard Boyer. She was

belonged to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Mocksville, and the Mocksville YMCA.
Her husband, Ervin Quincey Trexler, preceded her
in death.

the late NathanNeely and Bessie Berfoot McKinney. She was a graduate of Woodleaf
High School, Montreat College and George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
She was employed by the North Carolina State
Department of Agriculture in Raleigh and with the U.S. Department of Agriculture
in Atlanta, Ga., and Minneapolis, Minn. A botanist, she specialized in seed
analysis.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and
Circle Five of the Presbyterian Women.
Her husband, Herbert Goodwin Wiseman, died April
17, 1994.
