Letter to the Editor

Rough roads need investigation

SALISBURY POST

I’m glad Jerry E. Cline (Letters, May 23) brought up the rough roads. It is a subject that needs to be addressed. U.S. 52 and U.S. 29 have been patched and repatched with unsmooth patches until it’s pathetic.

Somehow, somebody has got to get the inspectors to take closer looks and make sure the county and state are getting their money’s worth. Also, vehicle owners are paying dearly with increased cost for ball joints, struts and shocks.

Just where are the federal highway funds being used? Definitely not on highways 52 and 29. I would like to see all concerned vehicle owners respond to this subject.
