Corbin Hills Golf Club has scheduled its spring two-man mulligan March 24-25.
Entries are open to the first 64 paid teams. Fees are $60 per team for Corbin Hills members and $100 for non-members. That includes cart and green fees both days.
The first round in the 36-hole stroke play event will get underway at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Teams will be flighted after that round, then the final round will start at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
A 6:30 a.m. breakfast and Calcutta auction are also on Sunday’s agenda.
Prizes will be awarded to first and second place in each flight.

HALL OF FAME: Catawba College’s 24th annual Sports Hall of Fame golf tourney will be held Friday, April 6 at Crescent Golf Club.
A shotgun start is scheduled at 1 p.m. with a cookout to follow.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony and luncheon will be held on April 7 at 12:30 p.m. in the Kirkland Lobby of the Abernethy Physical Education Center.
The 2001 inductees will be Ann Contesti, GaryKochman, Richard C. (Dick) Snyder and Salisbury’s Bill E. Peeler.

MEDIA DAY: Al Milley of Danville, Va., turned in the best score, a 3-over-par 75, in the Carolina Blonde Amateur Golf Tour’s media day at Crescent recently.
Milley won the A flight, followed by Greg Hendricks of Shelby with an 81 and Steve Williams of Reidsville with an 83.
Reid Spencer of Davidson led the way in the B flight with an 82, followed by Keith Jarrett of Asheville and Howard Ward of Fayetteville with 88 and 89, respectively.
Fayetteville’s Jim Pettit led the way in the C flight with a 95, followed by Jay Ahuja of Charlotte at 104 and Jeff Gentry of Sanford at 106.
Roger Mitterling and Tony Taylor of Greenville, S.C., teamed up with Fayetteville’s Adam James and the Post’s Ed Dupree to win the team division with a best ball of foursome score of 71.
Ward had the shot closest to the pin on No. 8, while Charlotte’s Matt Biondi took honors on No. 10.
Spencer hit the longest drive on No. 1.

ACES: Two hole in ones were made on the same day on Friday at Kannapolis Country Club.
Bill Wiles aced the par-3, 130-yard No. 2 hole with a 9-iron while playing with Doug Brothers, Sonny Tilley and Barry Troutman.
Bob Lowder got his ace on the par-3, 140-yard 17th hole with a 7-iron. His playing partners were George Vogler and Max Lackey.
