Andrade Jr., 49, 884 Milling Road, died Wednesday (June 27, 2001) at Kate
B.Reynolds Hospice Home, Winston-Salem.
Born Sept. 21, 1951, in New York,
Mr. Andrade was a son of Antonio Peter Andrade and the late Altagragcia Garcia
Andrade. He attended Hardison United Methodist Church and was employed as a
boiler operator with Crown Wood.
A stepson, Brian Andrade,
preceded him in death.
Survivors, in addition to his
father, include wife Jill Taylor Andrade; sons Dylan J. and Drew A. Andrade,
both of Mocksville; and daughter Erica M. Andrade, Mocksville.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday,
Hardison United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Marshall. Burial,
church cemetery.

CHINA GROVE — John Charles
Freeze, 82, 611 Salisbury St., died Thursday (June 28, 2001) at Hefner VA
Medical Center.
Born May 1, 1919, in Rowan
County, Mr. Freeze, a son of the late Charles Victor and Fannie Bame Freeze, was
educated in the Rowan County schools. He retired from Cannon Mills plant 8.
A member of First United
Methodist Church, he was a former Sunday school superintendent.
His wife, Alice Lentz Freeze,
died in 1989.
Survivors include son Charles
Lentz Freeze, of the home; and brother Cecil Freeze, China Grove.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, First
United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Rusty Inman and the Rev. Roger
Lunsford. Entombment at West Lawn Mausoleum with military rites by Rowan
Veterans Council.
Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Saturday
at the church. At other times the family will be at the home on Salisbury
Street.

Robert Sidney Miller
ROCKWELL — Robert Sidney
Miller, 71, Rockwell, died Thursday (June 28, 2001) at Rowan Regional Medical
Center, Salisbury.
Born July 1, 1929, in Rowan
County, Mr. Miller, a son of the late John Gilbert and Imogene Rudisell Miller,
was a graduate of Rockwell High School. He was a retired machinist. He served in
the Korean War while in the U.S. Army.
A member of Grace Bible Church,
he enjoyed bluegrass music and played the mandolin with Country Pals Band.
A son, Robert Sidney Miller Jr.,
died Oct. 1, 1983.
Survivors include wife of 44
years Shelby Troutman Miller; son Bill A. Miller, Rockwell; daughters Rita M.
Tevepaugh, Norma M. Bowden and Donna M.Richard, all of Rockwell, and Shannon M.
Morgan, Salisbury; brothers Joe Miller,Albany, Ga., Bob Miller, China Grove, and
Ed Miller, Rockwell; sister Alice M. Hughes, Greenville, Tenn.; 13
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Dorothy M. Rogers
KANNAPOLIS — Dorothy M. Rogers,
73, 1320 Burke St., died Thursday (June 28, 2001) at her home.
Born May 16, 1928, in Rowan
County, Mrs. Rogers, a daughter of the late Clifford and Lillian Brooks Joines,
retired from Propst Brothers Inc., and was earlier employed by Cannon Mills Co.

Church.
A grandson preceded her in death.

Rogers; sons Thomas Rogers, Santa Maria, Calif., and Steve Rogers, China Grove;

Barnhardt, Rockwell; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
