SALISBURY POST

  •   The 30 Rowan-Salisbury Schools will open their doors Tuesday, Aug. 7, to 20,566 students, school records show.

Enrollment rose from 20,365 from the beginning of the 2000-2001 school year.

  • Schools and buses will operate on their regular schedules the first day. Breakfast and lunch will be served at all schools.
  • This year, all but three schools in the system will have new starting and closing times. The changes will allow the system’s 198 buses to operate more efficiently by running at staggered times and serving children at multiple schools.
  • For the opening and closing times for all the schools, see page 6C.
  • For school addresses and phone numbers, see page 3C.
  • For the student calendar, see Page 4C.
  • For the open house schedule, see page 7C.
  • For a list of directors, see page 8C.
  • Meet the resource officers on page 12C.
  • Call your school for questions on buses, etc.
