Jacque Furr Barrow
Jacque Lynette Furr Barrow, 48, died Tuesday
(July 3, 2001) at her home.
Born Sept. 6, 1952, in Muscogee County, Ga., Mrs.
Barrow was a daughter of Janice Corzine Furr, Rockwell, and the late Clyde
Edward Furr. She was educated in the Cabarrus County schools and raised in the
Reformed Presbyterian faith. She was a graduate of Western Carolina University
and was a self-employed graphic artist.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include
brothers Stephen Douglas Furr, Midland, Clyde Edward Furr Jr., Mount Pleasant,
and William Randolph “Randy” Furr, Rockwell; sisters Kathy Wilson,Concord,
Deborah Sides, Kannapolis, Janette Phelps, Mebane, and Annette Copeland,
Dahlgreen, Va.
Services: Memorial, 3 p.m., Friday, Lyerly
Funeral Home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Marvin Lindsey, pastor, John Calvin
Presbyterian Church. The body will be cremated.
Visitation: None. The family will be at their
respective homes.
Bobby Perry Blake Jr.
RICHFIELD — Bobby Perry Blake Jr., 51, 137
Danritch Drive, died Tuesday (July 3, 2001) at Seacoast Medical Center in Loris,
S.C.
Born Feb. 6, 1950, in Concord, Mr. Blake was a
son of the late Bobby Perry and Faye Mauldin Blake. He was the pastor of Freedom
Tabernacle Independent Baptist Church and was a member of the Homeward Bound
Gospel Singers.
Survivors include wife Norma Kay Burris Blake;
sons Gregory Allen Blake and Jeremy Ryan Blake, both of New London, and Mark
Lyndale Butler, Albemarle; daughter Keyoka Nachelle Blake, of the home; brother
Paul Jeffrey Blake, Albemarle; sisters Reba Blake Burris, Richfield, and Hanna
Harris, Albemarle; maternal grandmother Hazel Lillian Mauldin, Landis; and three
grandsons.
Services: 11 a.m., Friday, Freedom Tabernacle
Independent Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Carl Richeal and the Rev.
Randy Perry. Burial, Stanly Gardens of Memory, Albemarle.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight, Hartsell Funeral Home,
Albemarle. At other times, the family will be at the home.
William Adrian Bost
CHAPIN, S.C. — William Adrian Bost, 55, of
Chapin, died Tuesday (July 3, 2001).
Born in Salisbury, Mr. Bost was a son of Ralph
and Leona Fuller Bost. He was a retired captain with the Lexington County, S.C.,
Sheriff’s Department. A life member of the Fraternal Order of Police, he was
current executive director and past state treasurer of the S.C. Fraternal Order
of Police, board chairman of the Lexington County Mental health Commission,
former president of Midlands Lodge No. 1 of the Fraternal Order of Police,
member of the Lexington County Law Enforcement Officers’ Association, past
chief of public safety for the S.C. Department of Mental Health, past
investigator for the S.C. Department of Corrections, former executive director
of the S.C. Jailers’ Association, and a former Richland County sheriff’s
deputy.
He was also an Air Force veteran and a Mason and
was actively involved in the S.C. Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial Fund.
Besides his parents, survivors include wife
Harriette Roach Bost; daughter Ainslee Bost Graham, Columbia; son Kevin Bost,
Columbia; sisters Rena Bost Derrick, Lexington, and Joyce Bost Shatley, Seattle,
Wash.; and a grandson.

KANNAPOLIS — Ina Parker Daves, 82, 1410
Huntingdon Road, died Wednesday (July 4, 2001) at NorthEast Medical Center in
Concord.

James R. Graham
James Richard Graham, 44, died Tuesday (July 3,
2001) at Rowan Regional Medical Center as the result of injuries received in an
automobile accident.
Born May 16, 1957, in Rowan County, Mr. Graham
was a son of the late Joseph Columbus and Jacquelyn Smith Graham. Educated in
the Rowan County Schools, he owned and operated Graham’s Body Shop. He was a
member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and the West Rowan YMCA.
Survivors include wife Peggy Wagner Graham, whom
he married May 20, 1993; son Norris Richard Graham, Rockwell; stepdaughter Candy
Martin, Harmony; grandson Andrew Bost, raised in the home; brothers Paul Douglas
Graham, Donald Scott Graham and Joseph Columbus Graham Jr., all of Salisbury;
sisters Jacquelyn Harris, Black Stock, S.C., Joyce Hoover, Patsy Gallimore and
Linda Jaramillo, all of Salisbury; and two other grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday, St. Matthew’s
Episcopal Church, conducted by the Rev. Mayo Little. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight, Lyerly Funeral Home.

Annie L. McMahan
MOCKSVILLE — Annie Lillian McMahan, 73, 160
Etchinson Road, died Wednesday (July 4, 2001) at the home of her sister, Louise
Mock, Winston-Salem.
Born Sept. 14, 1927, in Davie County, Miss
McMahan was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mamie McMahan. Educated in the
Davie County schools, she had retired from Davie County Schools, Farmington High
School. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Farmington.
She is survived by her sister, Louise Mock.

CONCORD — Jack William Reynolds, 70, formerly
of 220 Bishop Lane, died Tuesday (July 3, 2001) at Lake Norman Regional Medical
Center in Mooresville after seven months of illness.

Salisbury.

Stanley R. Upright
CHINA GROVE — Services will be tonight for
Stanley Richard Upright, 70, 108 E. Liberty St., who died Tuesday (July 3, 2001)
at his home.
Born March 5, 1931, in Rowan County, Mr. Upright
was a son of the late Fredrick Richard and Cordella Bostian Upright.
A 1950 graduate of China Grove High School, he
attended North Carolina State University, in the agriculture department, and
graduated from Salisbury Business College in 1976.
Mr. Upright was a dairy farmer and a member of
Gospel Light Baptist Church, where he was president of the Men’s Sunday School
Class for 20 years.
Survivors include wife Patricia Gray Upright;
sons Rick Upright, Mesa, Ariz., Tim Upright, Salisbury, and Richard Upright,
Greensboro; brothers Perry and Howard Upright, both of Salisbury; sisters
Lucille Miller, Sophie Hooks and Faye Carter, all of Salisbury, Gail Deal, China
Grove, and Oree Upright, Rockwell; and three grandchildren.

conducted by the Rev. Ron Bankson. Burial at 11 a.m., Friday, West Lawn Memorial

Daniel R. Wayne
KELLOGG, Minn. — Daniel R. Wayne, 45, of
Kellogg, died Tuesday (July 3, 2001) near Kellogg as a result of a logging
accident.
Born Dec. 20, 1955, in Wabasha, Minn., Mr. Wayne
was the son of Donald and Marian Urness Wayne. He was a graduate of the
University of Minnesota at Waseca, where he received a degree in horticulture.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include
sons Jeffrey and Nicholas Wayne, both of Salisbury, N.C.; daughters Heather
Zomok, Kasson, Minn., and Crystal Wayne, Salisbury, N.C.; brothers David Wayne
and Dennis Wayne, both of Kellogg; sister Donna Engels, Denton, Texas; and four
grandchildren.
