James Barnhardt Jr.
KANNAPOLIS — The funeral will be Thursday for
James Ray “Junior” Barnhardt Jr., 74, 617 Leisure Park Circle, who died
Saturday (Feb. 24, 2001) at his home after many years of declining health.
Born April 6, 1926, in Rowan County, Mr.
Barnhardt was a son of the late James Ray Barnhardt and Maggie Coley Barnhardt
Spry. He was employed by Cannon Mills until he was disabled during military
service in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of DAV Chapter 27,
Concord.
Survivors include son Billy Ray Barnhardt,
Kannapolis; brothers Kenneth Wayne Barnhardt, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and George M.
Barnhardt, Baltimore, Md.; and sister Marie A. Blackwelder, Kannapolis.
Services: Graveside, 11 a.m. Thursday, Greenlawn
Cemetery,China Grove, conducted by the Rev. Paul Pickler. Military rites by DAV
Chapter 27.

James Adley Dunn
The funeral will be Saturday for James Adley
Dunn, 84, 3365 Statesville Blvd., who died Monday (Feb. 26, 2001)at Rowan
Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 18, 1916, in Marion, Ind., Mr. Dunn, a
son of the late Edward James and Elizabeth Glass Dunn, was a graduate of Fort
Wayne, Ind., Central High School.
He owned and operated Burger Chef in Kannapolis
and Jerome’s Tavern on Klumac Road. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic
Church.
Survivors include wife Freida Vonnette Bowman
Dunn; son Jerome Clay Dunn, Columbia,S.C.; daughter Diane Louden, Columbia,
S.C., and Janice Pendley, Pelion, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.

LEXINGTON — Donald Willis Tetter, 65, 526 Cow
Palace Road, died Monday (Feb. 26, 2001) at High Point Regional Hospital, High
Point.
Born July 29, 1935, in Davidson County, Mr.
Tetter, a son of the late Carl Willis and Mary Gallimore Tetter, attended
Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church. He retired from Stanley Furniture.
Survivors include wife Billie Worley Teeter; sons
Donald Mark Tetter, Lexington, Keith Alan Worley, Slidell, La., and Douglas
Kevin Worley, Linwood; daughter Theresa Harris, Midway; brothers Douglas Wayne
Tetter and William Joseph Ader, both of Winston-Salem; sister Sylvia Hutchings,
Belews Creek; and eight grandchildren.

Sarah Crowell Tutterow
MOCKSVILLE — Sarah Elizabeth Crowell Tutterow,
76, Parker Road, died Monday (Feb. 26, 2001) at Forsyth Medical Center,
Winston-Salem.
Born June 25, 1924, in Union County, Mrs.
Tutterow was a daughter of the late T.W. and Kate Mae Broome. An accountant, she
had worked for Merrill Furniture and with her late husband’s company, CCT/
Davie Contractors.
Her husband, Thomas WIlson Tutterow Jr., died
Aug. 12, 1963.
Survivors include sons Thomas Wilson Tutterow
III, and Richard Claude and Gilbert Dean Tutterow, all of Mocksville, and Donald
Ray Tutterow, Berkley,W.V.a; daughter Virginia Carol Atkin, Carrickfergus,
Ireland; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
