Earnhardt memorial details

SALISBURY POST



Where: Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium, 288 Moose Road. The stadium is also accessible from Lane Street at Interstate 85 exit 63.

When: 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The parking lot will open at 4 p.m., gates open at 6 p.m.

Who: Scheduled speakers include Mayor Ray Moss as well as Earnhardt’s son Kerry, daughter Kelley, sisters, N.C. Rep. Robin Hayes, Chamber of Commerce President Tom Dayvault and Doug Stafford of Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Broadcasts: WCNC (channel 36, cable channel 6) will televise the memorial live. Radio station WKKT Cat Country will broadcast live.

Other info: The service will include a candle lighting, hymns sung by local musician Rick Allman and a flag presentation by South Rowan High School.
