BY ED DUPREE
SALISBURY POST

CONCORD— Concord’s Spiders knew A.L.Brown’s Wonder girls were much better when they hooked up Friday night. So the Spiders had a plan. They stalled. And it didn’t work as Doug Wilson’s club won 28-21.

Wilson said Elise Stanback’s rebounding was a key for Brown, while Holly Morgan hit four clutch free throws in the waning moments. A.L. Brown was led by Michelle Crosby’s 12.

The Wonders will now face off against East Rowan on the road Monday night at 7 p.m.

A.L. BROWN (28) — Crosby 12, Morgan 7, Stanback 5, Powell 2, Rodgers 2.

CONCORD (21) — Edwards 4, Earls 4, Gilbert 3, Shoe 2, Lynch 1.

A.L. Brown 4 9 5 10 — 28

Concord 2 7 5 7 — 21
