Ella F. Alexander
CHINA GROVE — Ella Faye Alexander, 65, 543 Westside Circle, died Tuesday (Dec. 11, 2001) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord, after seven months of declining health and over a week of serious illness.
Born June 16, 1936, in Rowan County, Mrs. Alexander was a daughter of the late John and Annie Bell Johnson Alexander. She was a graduate of Aggrey High School.
Employed with Linn Corriher and Parkdale Mills for over 30 years, she last worked with Cap Care. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons Dennis Alexander, Charlotte, and Barry Alexander,China Grove; daughters Jada A. Cowan, China Grove, and Amy Alexander, East Spencer; sister Lois Alexander, China Grove; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Donald Blackwell
Donald M. “Ghetto” Blackwell, 46, 1002 Locke St., died Tuesday (Dec. 11, 2001) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 21, 1955, in Salisbury, Mr. Blackwell was a son of the late James Henry andMary E. Birst Blackwell. He was educated in the Salisbury schools and attended Salisbury High School.
Disabled, he attended Mount Calvary Holy Church.
Survivors include daughter Keir Ramsey, Salisbury; brothers James H. Blackwell Jr., Winston-Salem, and Curtis “Mont” Blackwell, Spencer; and sisters Barbara Blair Blackwell, Marilyn B. Pruitt, Alfreda “Freda” Hall and Cheryl B. Smith, all of Salisbury, Deborah “Niecy”and Sophia Blackwell, both of East Spencer, and Lisa Turner, Albemarle.

James ‘Bill’ Brown
DAVIDSON — James Walter “Bill”Brown, 76, 4350 Shiloh Church Road, died Monday (Dec. 10, 2001) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.
Born May 28, 1925, in Rowan County, Mr. Brown was a son of the late Jim and Viola Anderson Brown. He retired from Hyco Construction Co. and T and N Manufacturing Co.
A member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, Concord, he was active in the United Methodist Men, served as an usher and was involved in other phases of the church.
Survivors include wife Margaret Starnes Brown; daughters Nancy Brown Whipple and Jan Brown Sides, both of Davidson, and Phyllis Brown Milem, Kannapolis; brothers Linn Brown,Concord, and Harold and Gene Brown, both of Kannapolis; sisters Lib Johnston, Mooresville, and Nell Seaford, Mable Morgan, Rachel Ritchie and Peggy Smith, all of Kannapolis; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Shiloh United Methodist Church, Concord, conducted by the Rev. Mark Curtis. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 6-8 tonight, Whitley’s Funeral Home,Kannapolis. At other times, the family will be at the home on Shiloh Church Road.

ALBEMARLE — Everette Jesse Connell, 76, 1832 Badin Road, died Tuesday (Dec. 11, 2001) at his home.

Sean Lynn Ennis
The funeral will be Thursday for Sean Lynn Ennis, 33, 5185 Miller Road, who died Sunday (Dec. 9, 2001) in Salisbury.
Born May 25, 1968, in Rowan County, Mr. Ennis was a son of Herman Joel and Shirley Ann Myers Ennis, both of Salisbury. The West Rowan High School graduate was employed as a pipe fitter and an electrician.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include wife Angela Canady Ennis; daughter Jacalyn Ennis, Salisbury; brother Scott Ennis, Salisbury; maternal grandfather Hobert L. Myers, Salisbury; stepmother Susan Ennis, Salisbury; stepbrother Nathaniel Hall, Salisbury; and stepsister Virginia Leonard, Salisbury.

Charles “Chuck” Currence Prevatte, 48, Salisbury, died Tuesday (Dec. 11, 2001) at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte.

The funeral will be Friday for George Andrew Daniels, 36, 1115 N. Long St., who died Saturday (Dec. 8, 2001) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born June 3, 1965, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Daniels was a son of Loraine Black Daniels, East Spencer, and the late Calvin A. Allen.
He attended North Rowan High School and was formerly employed by Burger King.
