Regarding Mark Cline’s Aug. 26 letter:
I do not think Mr. Cline speaks for the majority. The majority wants news good or bad even though they would prefer the good. Just make it correct. There were glaring errors in the original story about Mr. Morgan which were “apologized” for by the Post.
I think the majority would rather see fluff than incorrect stories which make an unfortunate situation into something which seems worse than it was, even though it was sad.
Please distinguish between sad news and bad news. Most of us don’t like the Post as much as we used to for whatever reason but they were right this time.
Let’s close this sad chapter and show me another ’mater that looks like a cartoon.
