He was the father of Rebecca Edwards of Mocksville.

KANNAPOLIS — Brenda Fay Foreman, 45, died Friday (Sept. 8, 2000) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.

John Council Reed

The funeral for John Council Reed, 76, 650 Jackson Road, will be Sunday. Mr. Reed died Thursday (Sept. 7, 2000) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Born June 10, 1924, in Rowan County, Reed was the son of the late John E. and Essie Mae Leonard Reed. Retired on disability from Linn Mill, he was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife Edith Speight Reed, son Ricky D. Reed, Salisbury, and two grandchildren.

Services: Sunday, 2 p.m., Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, conducted by Rev. Lewis Hall. The body will be cremated.

Visitation: Today, 6-9 p.m., at the home of his son at 630 Jackson Road.
