Ricky Gene Glass
COOLEEMEE — Ricky Gene Glass, 45, Davie Street,
died Monday (Oct. 9, 2000) at his home.
Born May 9, 1955, in Fayetteville, Mr. Glass was
a son of Bobby G. Glass, Cooleemee, and the late Betty Sue Blackwood Glass.
He was employed as a grounds keeper of Rolling
Hills Golf Club, Salisbury, and a member of First Baptist Church, American
Legion Hut 2993 and Mocksville Moose Lodge 949.
Survivors, in addition to his father, include son
Carson Brett Glass, of the home; daughter HeatherGlass Cline, Cleveland; sisters
Wanda Glass Eury, Cooleemee, and Sherry Glass, Salisbury; and three
grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Victory Baptist
Church, conducted by the Rev. Shelby Harbour and the Rev. Joel Shoaf. The body
will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial, Legion Memorial Park.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight, Davie Funeral Home

Clifford Monroe Miller
PITTSBURGH — Funeral services will be held
Thursday for Clifford Monroe Miller, 69, Pittsburgh, who died Monday (Oct. 9,
2000)at Skyview Terrace.
He was a Salisbury, N.C., native.
A son, Donald Miller of Salisbury, N.C., was
misidentified in an earlier obituary.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, West Funeral Home.

Nancy Cassidy Moore
KANNAPOLIS —Nancy Pearline Cassidy Moore, 64,
508 Locust St., died Tuesday (Oct. 10, 2000)at her home.
Born Oct. 31, 1935, in Chesterfield County, S.C.,
Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Zady Lee and Ruthie Irene Edding Cassidy.
She retired from Cannon Mills Plant 1 Spooler Room.
Her husband, Cletus Moore, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons Donnie, Cletus and James
Moore, all of Kannapolis; daughters Rhonda Chandler, Cocoa, Fla., and Donna
Moore, Kannapolis; sisters Almay Cassidy, Kannapolis, and Essie Adtkinson,
Chesterfield,S.C.; and seven grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, God’s Tabernacle
Church, conducted by the Rev. Jesse Overcash and the Rev. Sam Whittington.
Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the church. At
other times, the family will be at the home on Locust Street.

C. Pressley Morrison
CLEVELAND — C. Pressley Morrison, 80, Childers
Road, formerly of Williamson Road, Mooresville, died Monday (Oct. 9, 2000)at
Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.
Born Nov. 17, 1919, in Iredell County, Mr.
Morrison was a son of the late George and Alice Gabriel Morrison. He worked for
Peoples Furniture Co., Mooresville, for many years and retired from Duke Power
Co., where he worked in the environmental department with grounds maintenance.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the
U.S. Army 670th Engineer Corps.
He attended Berea Baptist Church, Mooresville,
and was a member of South IredellLions Club.
Survivors include wife Modena Caldwell Morrison,
whom he married Nov. 18, 1939; brothers Winston and Thad Morrison, both of
Mooresville; and sister Mary Ruth Lipe, Troutman.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Berea Baptist Church,
Mooresville, conducted by the Rev. Dan Lee Freeman and Dr. W. Lyn Sorrells.
Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 tonight, Cavin-Cook Funeral
