Anna Linn Bostian
CHINA GROVE — The funeral will be Wednesday for Anna Linn Bostian, 71, formerly of Miller Road, who died Sunday (Oct. 1, 2000) at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation, Salisbury.
Born Jan. 15, 1929, in Rowan County, Mrs. Bostian was a daughter of the late Charles and Katie Walker Linn. She was a graduate of Landis High School. A homemaker, she was a member of China Grove Church of God.
Her husband, Alva Bernie Bostian, died Oct. 19, 1994.
Survivors include sons Raymond Bostian, Salisbury, and Keith Bostian, China Grove; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Roger ‘Phil’ Ellenburg
The funeral will be Wednesday for Roger Phillip “Phil” Ellenburg, 27, Salisbury, who died Saturday (Sept. 30, 2000) in Cleveland from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Feb. 1, 1973, in Rowan County, Mr. Ellenburg was a son of Diane Rogers Ellenburg, of the home, and the late William L. Ellenburg. Educated in the Rowan County schools, he was a free-lance artist. He was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include wife Sarah Raposa Ellenburg; son Roger Phillip Ellenburg Jr., of the home; stepbrothers William L. Ellenburg Jr., of the U.S. Army, and Paul Ellenburg, Florida; and stepsister Billie Jean Ellenburg, Salisbury.

Brett Patton Ford
STATESVILLE — Brett Patton Ford, 19, 1920 Council Ave., died Sunday (Oct. 1, 2000)in Statesville following a motorcycle-automobile accident.
Born in Rowan County, Miss Ford was the daughter of George Patton “Pat” and Janis Cranford Ford, of the home. Home schooled, she also attended the Statesville schools and HairStylists Inc.
She was associated with the Lane Bryant Store, Valley Hills Mall, Hickory. She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors in addition to her parents, include brother Squire Jefferson Ford II, Indianapolis, Ind.; sister Chelsea Ford, also of Indianapolis; maternal grandmother Kathleen Cranford, Salisbury; and paternal grandmother Bonnie Ford, Statesville.

Odell Moses Haire
MOORESVILLE — Odell Moses Haire, 102, 1033 Shearers Road, died Sunday (Oct. 1, 2000) at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 4 1898, in Rowan County, Mr. Haire was a son of the late William and Zelda White Haire.
A son, Conrad Haire, died in 1993; and a daughter, Margaret H. Troutman, died in 2000.
Survivors include son Bill Haire, Mooresville; daughters Mary Martha Oliphant and Patsy Meadows, both of Mooresville; stepdaughter Mae Owensby, Kannapolis; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Sondra Henderson Hall
BOISE, IDAHO —Sondra Henderson Hall, 59, of Boise, Idaho, died at her home Friday, (Sept. 29, 2000), after a 15-year battle against breast cancer.
Born June 17, 1941, in Salisbury, N.C., Mrs. Hall was a daughter of the late W. Odell and Georgia R. Henderson. She graduated from Granite Quarry High School in 1959 and attended Salisbury Business College.
She worked in an administrative role for various local companies until her declining health forced her to retire. She managed rental property in Boise until her death.
Surivors include daughters Lorri Quas, Boise, and Stacy Ross, Garden Valley; sister Kay Harviel, Salisbury, N.C.; and a granddaughter.

Nell Iverson Josey
ROCKWELL — The funeral will be Wednesday for Nell Iverson Josey, 78, Rockwell, who died Monday (Oct. 2, 2000)at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.
Born April 2, 1922, in Freeborn, Wash., Mrs. Josey was a daughter of the late Albertson and Rhyba Abney Iverson. She was educated in the Washington state schools.
A homemaker, she was a member of Lane Street Baptist Church, Kannapolis.
Survivors include husband Clifford P. Josey, whom she married May 18, 1947; and sister Ruth Long, Cedarwooley, Wash.

James Anderson Potts
SANFORD — James Anderson Potts, 78, 228 Lyman Kittrell Lane, died Sunday (Oct. 1, 2000) at University Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
A Rowan County native, Mr. Potts was a son of the late John Anderson and Lilley Bell Parnell Potts. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
His wife, Alice McGovern Potts, preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughter Kathy Collins, Sanford; sons Robert James Potts, Rutherfordton, and Thomas and Daniel Lee Potts, both of Sanford; sister Josephine Potts, Rowan County; brother Harris Potts, Rowan County; and nine grandchildren.

Jewell Cashatt Ridge
The funeral will be Wednesday for Jewell Cashatt Ridge, 76, Hidden Creek Circle, who died Sunday (Oct. 1, 2000) at Wake Forest University Medical Center, Winston-Salem, from complications of surgery.
Born April 9, 1924, in Randolph County, Mrs. Ridge was a daughter of the late William A. and Esther Coppel Cashatt. She was a graduate of Farmer High School in Randolph County.
A former homemaker, she had retired from Tobias Clothing Store. She was a member of Milford Hills Methodist Church.

LEXINGTON — Adrienne Lynette Wise-Holmes, 45, Mendota Avenue, died Friday (Sept. 29, 2000) at her home after a three-year illness.
Born July 7, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was a daughter of Ethel Pearl Harrison Wise of Cleveland, Ohio, and the late L.C. Wise. She was a nurse at Meadow Brook Terrace Nursing Home, Advance, and a member of Files Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include husband Albert Holmes; son Brian Kenneth Wise, of the home; daughter Latonya Barton, of the home; and brothers L.C. Wise Jr., Lexington, and Robert and George Wise, both of Cleveland, Ohio.

Lillie Mae Glover Allred
ALBEMARLE — Lillie Mae Glover Allred, 83, 922 Shankle St., died Monday (Oct. 2, 2000) at her home.
Born May 20, 1917, in Stanly County, Mrs. Allred was a daughter of the late Myrtie Elizabeth Bolton and George Thomas Glover. A graduate of Richfield School and Pfeiffer College, she had retired as a spinner at Wiscassett Mills.
She was preceded in death by husbands William Hillard Sasser and Glenn W. Allred.
Survivors include daughters Carolyn Lowe, Mebane, and Susan Stiller, Albemarle; brother John W. Glover, Richfield; sister Thelma Trexler, Gold Hill; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

ALBEMARLE — Mee Yang, 57, 26687 Burleson Road, died Thursday (Sept. 28, 2000) at Stanly Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 25, 1943, in Laos, Mrs. Yang was a daughter of the late Ying Vue and Chai Va Yang. She was a knitter at Candor Hosiery.
Survivors include husband Waneng Vang; sons Pao, Yee and Kong Vang, all of Albemarle; daughter Hona Vang, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Sunday, graveside, Stanly Gardens of Memory.
