ALBEMARLE Marguerite Virginia Bangle, 85, 1503
Sunset Ave., died Friday (May 12, 2000), at Britthaven of Piedmont.
Born July 1, 1914, in Stanly County, Miss Bangle was a
daughter of the late Jessie Edgar and Mertie Leah Plyler Bangle. She was a homemaker and a
member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Ellen B. Harris,
Albemarle.
Services: A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. today at
Fairview Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Dan Lyons.
The family will be at the home of her sister at 1503 Sunset
Ave.

Roger Darrell Bunting
ALBEMARLE Roger Darrell Bunting, 57, 2015 Mount
Creek Road, died Friday (May 12, 2000) at Stanly Memorial Hospital.
Born April 10, 1943, in Stanly County, Mr. Bunting was a
son of Mattie Waisner Bunting, of Daytona Beach, Fla., and the late Edward Glenn Bunting.
He was a self-employed electrician and owner of Bunting
Electric Co. Mr. Bunting was a member of Canton Baptist Church and Gideon International,
Stanly South Camp. He served as Faith Fund coordinator for the N.C. Gideons.
Survivors include his wife, Treva Almond Bunting; son Jeff
D. Bunting, Mount Pleasant; brother Bobby Bunting, Pitkin, La.; sister Jewell
Deanie Ray, Ormond Beach, Fla.; and a grandson.
Services: 4 p.m. Sunday, Hartsell Funeral Home, conducted
by the Rev. Les Schofield and the Rev. Gary Waisner. Burial, Canton Baptist Church
cemetery.

KANNAPOLIS Victor Raymond Eddy Jr., 68, Unity Church
Road, died Thursday (May 11, 2000) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.
Mr. Eddy worked for Cannon Mills for more than 20 years and
later owned Eddys Locksmith. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and the
Gutter Busters bowling team at Moor Lanes, both in Mooresville.
His wife, Annie Mae Rogers Eddy, preceded him in death.
Survivors include son Darrell R. Eddy, sister Martha
Humphrey, brother Gordie Eddy, half brother Johnny Sudsberry and stepsisters Joyce Hubbard
and Betty Johnston.

McLaughlin, 84, died Friday (May 12, 2000) at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 20, 1915, in Gibson, Mrs. McLaughlin was a
daughter of the late Thomas Benjamin and Mabel Garrison Griffith.
A bookkeeper with Belk for 35 years, she was a longtime
member of Centenary United Methodist Church, where she served as organist and choir
director for 53 years and was a member of United Methodist Women.
Her husband, William Harold McLaughlin, preceded her in
death.
Survivors include sons William H. McLaughlin Jr. and Thomas
B. McLaughlin, both of Mooresville; brothers Jack G. Griffith, Cornelius, Bill Griffith,
Mooresville, and Ben Griffith, Charlotte; sisters Anna Cleary, Mooresville, Eva Cathey,
Columbia, S.C., Mildred Sperry, Greensboro, and Mary Lee Smith, Davidson; five
grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Born Nov. 29, 1922, in Rowan County, Mr. Rowland was a son
of the late Franklin and Jane Wagoner Rowland.
A member of Mount Pleasant Pentecostal Holiness Church, he
served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
His wife, Mary, died Oct. 18, 1991.

Ricky Rowland, Gold Hill, and Johnny Rowland, Albemarle; four grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.

years with Bryant Electric in High Point, Mr. Williams retired as vice president of sales.

daughter of the late Ollie Pence and Willie H. Wooten.
She was a former nursing assistant at Spencer Home Health
Care and a member of Center United Methodist Church.
