Raymond Buckenmeyer, 50, 44692 Fish Camp Road, died Sunday (April 30, 2000) at Stanly
Memorial Hospital, Albemarle.
Born Aug. 16, 1949, in Stoughton, Wis., Mr. Buckenmeyer was
a son of Betty Mae Kennedy Hodsdon, Gainesville, Fla., and the late Raymond Martin
Buckenmeyer. He had been employed as the maintenance supervisor at Stanly Manor,
Albemarle. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army during the VietnamWar.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include wife Diane
Pence Buckenmeyer; sons Cary Buckenmeyer, Locust, Johnny Buckenmeyer, New London, and
Kenny Buckenmeyer, of the home; daughter Stacy Buckenmeyer, of the home; sisters Patty
Bender, Fort Walton, Fla., and Lisa Casler, New London; and four grandchildren.
Services: 4 p.m. Wednesday, Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel,
Albemarle. Burial with full military rites at Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery, New
London.
Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. At other
times the family will be at the home on Fish Camp Road.
Jean Hepler Elmore
MOCKSVILLE The funeral will be Tuesday for Jean
Hepler Elmore, 53, Liberty Church Road, who died Saturday (April 29, 2000) at Forsyth
Medical Center, Winston-Salem.
Born Oct. 31, 1946, in Forsyth County, Mrs. Elmore was a
daughter of Jane McClamrock Clark, Clemmons, and the lateTed Hepler. She was a 1965
graduate of West Forsyth High School and a 1985 graduate of Barbizon Beauty College. She
owned and operated HairCuts, Etc.
A member of Bear Creek Baptist Church, she was in the
choir, and taught a childrens Sunday school class. She had been a Girl Scout troop
leader in the William R. Davie District.
Survivors include husband Richard Elmore; daughters Shayan
Samsam, Holly Springs, and Andrea Hartman, San Pedro, Calf.; brothers Lonnie and Robert
Hepler, both of Advance; and sister Elizabeth Dull, Clemmons.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Bear Creek Baptist Church,
conducted by the Rev. Jack Johnson and the Rev. Cecil Weatherholt. The body will be placed
in the church at 10:30. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight, Eaton Funeral Home.
