Healthy Kids 2000 will be held Friday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at Gold’s Gym, 2318 S. Main St. The free event is aimed at children ages 5 to 10.
Guests will include a representative from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department, who will speak on safety for children; and someone from Salisbury Fire Department, who will talk about fire safety. A
representative of Salisbury Police Department will talk about bike safety at 10:30 a.m., and Rowan County Rescue Squad members will teach CPR at 11:30 a.m.
Other activities will include carnival games, face painting and a moon jumper. Bo Weevil of the Piedmont Boll Weevils will make a special guest appearance.
