Pernie H. Holcomb
LEXINGTON — Pernie Holcomb Holcomb, 85, Sunrise Avenue, died Wednesday (July 12, 2000) at her home.
Born July 6, 1915, in Yadkin County, Mrs. Holcomb was a daughter of the late William G. and Flora Day Holcomb. She had retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church.
Her husband, Joe Holcomb, died in 1989.
Survivors include son Larry Proctor, Germanton; daughters Doris Fowler and Joyce Starbuck, both of Lexington; stepson Michael Holcomb, Advance; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, DavidsonFuneral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Leonard Rollins and the Rev. TimStarbuck. Burial, Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 tonight at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home on Sunrise Avenue.

Dallas EdwinNicholson
SPENCER — Dallas Edwin Nicholson, 80, 511 Second St., died Thursday (July 6, 2000) at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.
Survivors include wife of 61 years Mildred Nicholson; daughter Susan Wolf, Spencer; brother Lawton Nicholson, Elkridge, Md.; sister Betty Bastide, Cumberland, Md.; and two grandsons.
NationalCremation Service, Charlotte, was in charge.
Philip Bryce Williams
Philip Bryce Williams, 67, Goldsboro, formerly of Salisbury, died Tuesday (July 11, 2000) at Dorothy Dix Hospital, Raleigh, after a period of declining health.
Born Dec. 21, 1932, in Davidson County, Mr. Williams was the son of the late Robert “Bob” and Grace Elizabeth Hames Williams.
Survivors include sisters Carol Hamilton and Anne Corriher, both of Salisbury.
Services: Graveside, 3 p.m. Thursday, Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington.
Visitation: None.
