Huntley, 87, 203 Flowe Ave., died Friday (June 30, 2000) at NorthEast Medical Center.
Born Nov. 20, 1912, in Anson County, he was son of the late
Birdeye and Daisy Huntley. Also preceding him in death was a son, Randall Huntley, who
died in 1994.
Mr. Huntley retired from janitorial services at Cannon
Mills Plant No. 1, having formerly worked for China Grove Ice & Fuel. Over the years,
he also provided janitorial services for Landis Elementary School, Aycock Elementary
School, the J.C. Penney store, Ladys Funeral Home and Mills Florist.
He was a member of the First Assembly Worship Center in
Concord.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie A. Huntley; daughters
Linda H. Stroud, Kannapolis, and Sherrie Huntley, Concord; sons Leonard Huntley,
Charlotte, Dr. James Huntley, Clinton, Md., Prentice Huntley, Kannapolis, and Malichi
Huntley, China Grove; a sister, Victoria Miller, McBee, S.C.; 14 grandchildren and 30
great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday, First Assembly Worship Center,
Concord, conducted by Dr. Oren Hill Sr. Burial, Rutherford Cemetery, Concord.
Visitation: 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, at the church. Other times
the family will be at the residence, 205 Flowe Ave.
Ruth Evola Moose
ROCKWELL Ruth Evola Ridings Moose, 74, of Rockwell,
died Friday (June 30, 2000)at Lutheran Home, Salisbury.
Born June 22, 1926, in Forsyth County, Mrs. Moose was a
daughter of the late Bracie Brewer and Dave R. Ridings. Educated in Forsyth County
schools, she had been a telephone operator and was a homemaker. She was a member of St.
James Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Moose was preceded in death by her husband, Carl
Eugene Moose, who died Aug. 31, 1997.
Survivors include son Ronald Eugene Moose, Salisbury;
daughter Karen Renee Moose, Rockwell; brother Marvin D. Ridings, Mooresville; sister Hazel
Bowman, Clemmons; one grandchild.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday, St. James Lutheran Church,
conducted by the Rev. Craig Sigmon, pastor. Entombment, Brookhill Memorial Gardens
Mausoleum.
Visitation: 3-5 today, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.

Annernett Wise Pickler
Annernett Nett Eller Wise Pickler, 80, of
Salisbury, died Friday (June 30, 2000) at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, after a brief
illness.
Born Nov. 11, 1919, in Rowan County, Mrs. Pickler was a
daughter of the late Pearl Miller and Clarence Joseph Eller. Educated in Rowan County
schools, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church, the
Ladies Bible Class, the United Methodist Women, past Sunday school teacher, lay person of
the year in 1996 and member of the Providence Quilters.
Mrs. Pickler was preceded in death by her first husband,
Robert BudWise, second husband Junior OBrien Pickler and son John
Bud Wise.
Survivors include daughters Betty Roger and Ann Wallace,
both of Salisbury; sister Peggy Ketchie, Gold Hill; five grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.
Services:4 p.m. Monday, Providence United Methodist Church,
conducted by the Rev. Bell Campbell, pastor, the Rev. Bill Summey and the Rev. Fred Hill,
former pastors. Burial, family plot at church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight, Lyerly Funeral Home. At other
times the family will be at the home of a daughter, Betty Boger, Salisbury.

Steven Keith Warden
Steven Keith Warden, 34, 4280 Miller Road, died Friday
(June 30, 2000) at his residence.
Born Sept. 18, 1965, in San Bernadino, Calif., Mr. Warden
was a son of Ruth Lucille Southard and Harold Dean Warden of Salisbury. Educated in Rowan
County Schools, Mr. Warden was a Baptist.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include maternal
grandfather Lester Southead, Jan Jacinto, Calif.; brother Russell Warden, Salisbury; and
sister Kathy Warden, Salisbury.
Services:2 p.m. Monday, Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home Chapel,
China Grove, conducted by the Rev. Larry Beaver. Burial, West LawnMemorial Park.
Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight, at the funeral home.
Henry Morris Wright
Henry Morris Wright, 64, of Salisbury, died Friday (June
30, 2000) at Wake Forest University Medical Center, Winston-Salem, after a period of
declining health.
Born Aug. 1, 1936, in Forsyth County, Mr. Wright was a son
of Josephine Kinley Burleson of Winston-Salem and the late James Everett Wright. Educated
in Forsyth County schools, Mr. Wright was an independent truck driver until his retirement
due to ill health. He was a Baptist and a member of Fulton Masonic Lodge No. 99 AF &
AM, Scottish Rite, Charlotte Valley, and Oasis Temple of the Shrine.
Survivors include wife L.V.Warren Wright, of
the home; sons Todd Wright, Mount Ulla, and Tim Smith, Lexington; daughters Tonya W. Webb,
Salisbury, and Michele Wright and Pam Hill, both of Lexington; half-sisters Marilyn
Sparnicht and Carolyn Peak, both of Winston-Salem; nine grand-children; and two
great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Lyerly Funeral Home Chapel,
conducted by the Rev. Tom Roberts. Burial, Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
