CHARLOTTE — A Kannapolis woman died Thursday night in a single-vehicle accident in
which the driver was charged with driving while impaired.Charlotte Police reported this morning that Jennifer Utman
Lattarulo, 29, of 1070 Westchester Drive, Kannapolis, died from injuries she received in
the accident.
The 10:53 p.m. wreck occurred at the intersection
of Hawthorne Lane and Kennon Street. The vehicle, whose make was not identified, hit a
utility pole, according to reports.
Police charged the driver, Craig Stevenson, of
Fort Worth, Texas, with driving while impaired.
The vehicle had another occupant, but a police
spokesman said this morning he did not know if the wreck involved any other injuries.
