Sunday (Jan. 16, 2000) at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, Winston-Salem. She was a former
resident of Larry Drive.
Born Sept. 12, 1904, in Iredell County, Mrs. Auten
was the daughter of the late Ethel Freeze and Edward Davidson Oliphant. Retired from
Cannon Mills, she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Robert Taylor Auten, and a daughter,
Neva Edmiston McQuiddy, preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters Ruth Edmiston Joyner,
Concord, Hilda Edmiston Ross, North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Peggy Edmiston Reithel,

Born July 18, 1900, in Cabarrus County, Mr. Medlin
was a son of the late William and Janie Whitley Medlin. Educated in the Cabarrus County
schools, he formerly owned and operated a used car dealership.
His first wife, Ruth Lefler Medlin, died in 1974,
and his second wife, Lanie Rodger Medlin, died in 1990. A son, Richard E. Medlin, also
preceded him in death.

Helen Holt, both of China Grove, Lila Holshouser, Faith, and Ethel Mihalic, Winston-Salem;

was a daughter of the late Grace Kesler and Walter Gray Jowers. A graduate of Boyden High
School and Catawba College, she had retired after 35 years as a teacher in the Rowan
County schools.
She was a longtime member of Bethel United
Methodist Church and the Rowan County Garden Club.
Her husband, Henry Carlisle Cup Jowers,
died in 1963.

Born Sept. 20, 1922, in Union County, Mr. Price was
a son of the late John Luther and Ella Griffin Price. He had retired from the Air National
Guard in Charlotte after 27 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War
II, serving in the South Pacific theater from 1941 to 1945. He was also a Pearl Harbor
survivor.
He was a member of Poston-Perkins VFW Post 8989,
Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge and the Kannapolis Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star
349. He was also a member of North Kannapolis Baptist Church, where he was a former Sunday
school teacher and deacon.
