South will be in action again at 6 p.m. today at Northwest Cabarrus in a nonconference game.

Hot-shooting Heather Schleupner, a transfer from Davie County, led Mount Tabor’s scoring with 17 points. She went 7-for-10 on field goals with three 3-pointers. Teammates Molly Hughes and April Goolsby added 10 points each.

Forward Jennifer Morgan and center Ashlie Sheets had solid games in defeat for the Raiders. Morgan, playing with her face heavily taped to protect over 40 stitches in her mouth and chin, showed tremendous intensity.

She scored 12 points, grabbed four rebounds, blocked a couple of shots and stole the ball five times. Sheets came off the bench for a game-high 13 rebounds, matching her career high, and added a career-high seven points.
