Born March 27, 1944, in Davidson County, Mr.
Biesecker was a son of the late Fred Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Tesh Biesecker. A
self-employed painter, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a
Methodist and a member of Amvets Post 760.

Road, died Thursday (Jan. 6, 2000) at Rowan Regional Medical Center after five years of
declining health.
Born Nov. 2, 1936, in Rowan County, Mr. Cecil was
a son of the late Arnold G. and Margaret Campbell Childress Cecil. Educated in the Rowan
County schools, he served two stints in the U.S. Army.
Retired from the North Carolina Department of
Agriculture, he was a member of Spencer Moose Lodge 2019, Legion of the Moose 158 and
Hudson-Tatum-Miller VFWPost 3006.
Survivors include wife Effie Naomi Cowles Cecil;
sons Ricky D. and Michael W. Cecil, both of Salisbury; daughter Marguerite M.Sackett,

Born Oct. 21, 1921, in Davidson County, Mrs. Couch
was a daughter of the late Leonard and Mintie Gordon Wilson. She was a charter member of
Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.
Her first husband, Willie James Tysinger, died in
August 1952, and her second husband, Grady Worth Couch, died in July 1978. She was also
preceded in death by sons James Raeford Tysinger and Larry Wayne Tysinger.

Mr. Medlin was employed at West Rowan Middle
School. A member of Knox Grove Baptist Church, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Ousley was a son of the late John Christian and Laura Nash Ousley. Educated in the Clay
Township Schools in Kokomo, Ind., he served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War
II.
He owned and operated K&N Poultry in
Salisbury. He was a member of Haven Lutheran Church.

Born April 30, 1981, in Salisbury, Mr. Powell was
the son of A.D. and Sylvia Jane Kepley Powell of Faith. Educated in the Rowan
County schools, he was a 1999 graduate of East Rowan High School.
He was employed with Salisbury Coatings. A member
of Shiloh United Church of Christ and Boy Scout Troop 351, he had received his God and
Country award.

Born Feb. 3, 1927, in Montgomery County, Mr.
Vanhoy was a son of the late Lula Helms and Lock Vance Vanhoy. A retired auto mechanic, he
was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church,
where he was a former deacon, Sunday school teacher, Boy Scout leader and youth retreat
worker.
