St., died Friday (Dec. 31, 1999) at her home.
Born May 22, 1930, in Guilford County, Mrs. Cecil
was a daughter of the late Frank W. and Nellie Branch Beddington. Prior to moving to
Washington in 1984, she lived in Salisbury. She was a the manager of an apartment complex.
Survivors include daughter Shirley C. Price, Ivor,
Va.; son Robert B. Cecil, China Grove; sisters Jessie Porter and Cora Mae Bradley, both of
High Point; brother Robert J. Beddington, Mocksville; five grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.

Depot St., died Thursday (Dec. 30, 1999) at his home.
Born May 18, 1914, in Stanly County, Mr. Plyler
was a son of the late Lawrence and Lizzie Teeter Plyler. A retired employee of Wiscassett
Mill, he was a member of Congregational Christian Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World
War II.
His wife, Nan Hearne Plyler, died in 1971.
Survivors include daughter Lauretta Forrest,
Charlotte; brother Paul Plyler, Concord; sister Ruby Whitley, Charlotte; two
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Born Dec. 26, 1913, in Mooresville, Mrs.
Whittington was a daughter of the late King David and Cora Scercy Crisco. She formerly
worked in the spinning room at Burlington Industries and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford
Whittington, sons D. Eugene and Jerry Whittington and daughter Joan W. Hudson.
Survivors include sons Carlton Whittington,
Mooresville, and John P. Whittington, Birmingham, Ala.; sister Reba Lunsford Crosby,
Charlotte; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

was a daughter of the late Baxter and Betsy Poole Malone. She had been employed as an
in-home caregiver.

Sara Kimbell, China Grove, and Kathryn Jordan, Sanford; sons Jerry Bouldin, Lexington,
James Bouldin Jr., Rockwell, and Ronnie Jordan, Sanford; brothers James Malone, Sanford,
and Woodrow Malone, Lexington; sisters Judy Bouldin, Gold Hill, and Annie Fauldin and Mary
Lee Nall, both of Sanford; and six grandchildren.

Caldwell. He was a house painter.

Born Jan. 19, 1929, in Cabarrus County, Mr. Freeze
was a son of the late Chance and Maude Rumple Freeze. He worked for about 35 years in the
slasher room of Fieldcrest Cannon Plant No. 4, until he retired in 1995.
He was also a commercial fisherman for many years
and a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Crisco Freeze;
son Darryl Freeze, Mooresville; daughters Linda Sharpe, Davidson, and Janice Cress,
Kannapolis; brother Frank Freeze, Davidson; sister Lillian Overcash, Mooresville; four
