Mabel Yost Honeycutt
MOORESVILLE - Mabel Yost Honeycutt, 85, 10340 Unity Church Road, died Sunday (Feb. 27,
2000) at Georgia Medical College, Augusta, Ga.
Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, is in charge.
The family will be at the home of a son, Tommy Honeycutt, 2775 Millbridge Road, China
Grove.
Esther Driver Mauldin
CHINA GROVE - Esther Driver Mauldin, 88, formerly
of 80 Central Ave., died Sunday (Feb. 27, 2000) at Brian Living Center, Charlotte.
Born Oct. 12, 1911, in Smithfield, Mrs. Mauldin was a daughter of the late J.D. and
Catherine Wilkins Driver. Educated in the Smithfield schools, she had worked at China
Grove Cotton Mill. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Her husband, Charlie Frank Mauldin, died March 12, 1981.
Survivors include son Jerry Mauldin, Charlotte; daughter Dolores Loflin, Salisbury; six
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, conducted by the Rev.
David Phelps. Burial, Norwood City Cemetery.
Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A. William 'Bill' McDonald
ELKIN - A. William 'Bill' McDonald, 80, Elkin,
father of Mrs. Marion (Marian McDonald) Lytle, Cleveland, died Wednesday (Feb. 23, 2000)
at his home.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 26) at Elkin Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Dale Walker and the Rev. Bill Brown officiated. Burial, Hollywood Cemetery.
Kennedy Funeral Home was in charge.

Rebecca Michael, 101
RICHFIELD - Rebecca Jane Redwine Michael, 101, Richfield, died Sunday (Feb. 27, 2000) at
her home after a month of serious illness.
Born Oct. 18, 1898, in Davidson County, Mrs. Michael was a daughter of the late Lafayette
Kennedy and Mattie Lou Taylor Redwine. She was a 1922 graduate of Churchland High School
and attended Appalachian State Teachers College. She later taught at Hamilton School in
Rowan County and Cress School in Cabarrus County. Retired from Surratt Hosiery Mill,
she was a member of Alleghany United Methodist Church, New London.
Her husband, Lacy L. Michael, died Aug. 27, 1967.
Survivors include daughter Mrs. Billy (Kirksey) Shaver, Richfield; sister Elizabeth
Redwine Parker, Richfield; and one grandson.
Services: 3 p.m. Tuesday, Alleghany United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Peter
McGuire and the Rev. Jerry Earnhart. Burial, Taylor's Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 tonight, Briggs Funeral Home, Denton.
