home.
Born May 29, 1949, in Iredell County, Mr. Brewer
was a son of Faye Primm Brewer Cloaninger, Mooresville, and the late Wiley Clay Brewer. He
was employed in maintenance.

stepfather Don Cloaninger; brothers Gary and Mike Brewer, both of Mooresville; and sisters
Pam Brewer and Susan Talbert, both of Mooresville, and Janice Plott of Statesville.

Concord. He was the son of Melesia Hope and Rupert Wayne Deal of China Grove.

Fisher, 94, died Thursday (Feb. 3, 2000) at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.
Born April 15, 1905, in Rowan County, she was a
daughter of the late John L. and Grace McCombs Trexler. A homemaker, she was a member of
St. James Lutheran Church and the Daisy Trexler Sunday School Class.
Her husband, L. Ray Fisher, died Dec. 7, 1990.

Lillian Bright Dixon LaGrone, 103, Riverdale,
N.Y., died Wednesday (Feb. 2, 2000) at the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale after
several years of declining health.
Born Oct. 16, 1896, in Cleveland County, she was a
daughter of the late John William and Alice Wellman Dixon. Educated in the Cleveland
County schools, she was employed by the Reiss family as a housekeeper.
Her husband, Curtis LaGrone, preceded her in
death.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Aug. 18, 1931, in Cabarrus County, Mrs.
Scercy was a daughter of the late Mollie Carter and Stafford Goodman. Educated at Winecoff
School, she had retired from Cannon Mills, Plant 1, Kannapolis. She was a member of
Ebenezer Lutheran Church.
Her husband, Clyde Scercy, died Dec. 18, 1997.

Franklin Snider, 82, 320 Snider St., who died Wednesday (Feb. 2, 2000) at his home.
Born May 31, 1917, in Rowan County, he was a son
of the late Avery Pierce and Elizabeth Curlee Snider. Educated in the Rowan County
schools, he had retired in 1964 from Southern Railway, where he was a boilermaker helper
and car inspector for 14 years. He had been a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Spencer
since 1929.
Survivors include wife Evelyn Sides Snider; sons
Dana G.Snider, Salisbury, and Ronald P. Snider, Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter Carol S.
Cauble, Salisbury; brother A.P. Snider, Salisbury; sister Dorothy Stafford, Greenville,

a daughter of the late Viola Josey and William F. Garwood. A homemaker, she was a member
of Liberty United Methodist Church.
