Born March 14, 1920, in Lincoln
County, Mr. Linebarger was a son of the late Ivey Johnson and Amelia
Ballard Linebarger. Educated in the Rowan County schools, he served
in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Retired from the city of Salisbury,
he had earlier worked for Rowan Printing Co. He was a member of
Stallings Memorial Baptist Church and the Bost-Barringer Sunday
School Class. He was also a member of Samuel C. Hart American Legion
Post.

Whitley. She was a homemaker. A member of Mount Olive Baptist
Church, she taught Sunday school for 35 years.

1968.

he was affiliated with Cedar Grove AMEZion Church and was a member
of Ebenezer AMEZion Church. He was a Mason and a member of Faithful
Guide Lodge 376.
