Mildred Pauline Hunuhoff Bost, 68, 1234-GColumbus Drive, died Sunday (April 16,
2000) at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.
Born May 3, 1931, in Yankton, S.D., Mrs. Bost was
a daughter of the late Bertha Barch and Henry Hunuhoff. She worked for the Metal Forge Co.
in quality control. She was active in the National Victim Assistance Program.
Survivors include sons Greg W. Baucom, New London,
and Wilson E. Baucom, Albemarle; daughters Hilda G. Faulkner and Rhonda J. Baucom, both of
Albemarle, and Paula L. Forrest, Harrisburg; and seven grandchildren.

SPENCER Elizabeth Wiggins Tillman Boykin,
90, died Sunday (April 16, 2000) at Spencer Health Care after a period of declining
health.
Born Nov. 16, 1909, in Rowan County, she was a
daughter of the late Alib Berdine and John Henry Wiggins. Educated in the Rowan County
schools, she was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include brothers Ernest and Harrison
Wiggins, both of Salisbury, and Richard Wiggins, Newport News, Va.
Noble and Kelsey, Salisbury, is in charge.
Velma Bostian Braswell
CHINA GROVE Velma Irene Bostian Braswell,
84, China Grove, died Sunday (April 16, 2000) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.
Born Sept. 21, 1915, in Rowan County, she was a
daughter of the late Margaret E. Smith and Rufus R. Bostian. Educated in the Kannapolis
schools, she had retired from Cannon Mills.
She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist
Church, where she taught Sunday school in the childrens department and was a nursery
attendant for many years.
Her husband, Bernie R. Braswell, died Aug. 1,
1997.
Survivors include daughter Saundra Spry,
Kannapolis; brother Robert M. Bostian, Landis; sisters Ruth Hart, Lake Norman, and Audrey
Flowers, Terrell; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Retired from Cannon Mills finishing
department, she was a member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church, where she was a Sunday
school teacher.
Her husband, Ray Daniel, died April 14, 1985.

educated at South Rowan High School and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. A homemaker, she
was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Davie County native, died Sunday (April 16, 2000) at the Masonic and Eastern Star Home in
Greensboro.
Born July 25, 1922, Mrs. Jones was a daughter of
the late Fallie Phelps and George Z. Myers. She had retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco
Co., Winston-Salem, after more than 20 years with the company.
Mrs. Jones was a lifetime member of Mocks United
Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher in the primary department.
Her husband, Paul William Jones, died in 1980.
Survivors include Keith L. Jones, Mocksville;
daughter Lyndia Cornatzer, Advance; brothers Herman, Bill and J.T. Myers, all of Advance;
five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
